Barcelona has more to see than most trips have days. The Go City Barcelona Explorer Pass solves the other half of the problem: paying for it all separately.

Pick a number — 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 attractions — then choose which ones from a list of over 40 experiences across the city. Everything sits on a single digital pass in the Go City app, and you scan a QR code at the gate. The result is savings of up to 50% against buying the same tickets individually.

It's the pass for people who already know roughly what they want. Take a guided tour of the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece. Walk into Casa Batlló and Park Güell with hosted entry. Go behind the scenes at FC Barcelona with the Immersive Tour. Ride the Barcelona Cable Car up to Montjuïc, cover the ground on a hop-on hop-off bus, sit in on a flamenco show at Palau Dalmases, wander the architectural collage of Poble Espanyol, see the Banksy Museum, or seek out Torre Bellesguard, the Gaudí building most visitors never find. There's also the Old Town and Gothic Quarter on foot, and the Big Fun Museum if you want photographs nobody will believe.

The timing is unusually generous. The pass sits unused and valid for a full year from purchase — buy now, decide later. It only starts counting once you scan it at your first attraction, and from that moment you have 30 days to use the rest. No consecutive-day pressure, no rushing three museums into one afternoon.

And if plans change entirely, non-activated passes are refundable within 90 days of purchase.

You choose the attractions, the order and the pace. The pass just makes it cheaper.

Insiders' Tips

Download the Go City app and sync your pass before you fly — planning the itinerary at home beats doing it on hotel Wi-Fi. Pre-book the attractions that need reservations, especially the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, which sell out days ahead in high season and won't let you in on the pass alone. Order your visits by value: use the pass on the priciest attractions first, since every choice costs the same regardless of gate price. Check each attraction's own opening hours and closure days in the digital guide — several Barcelona museums close Mondays, and the pass won't get you into a shut building. Remember the clock only starts at your first scan, so there's no advantage to activating it before you're ready.

Additional Information

  • The pass itself has no operating hours — it's a digital product usable whenever the included attractions are open.
  • Each attraction sets its own opening hours, closure days and last-entry times, which are listed in the Go City digital guide.

  • Some experiences run only on fixed days or at set times, particularly guided tours and the flamenco show.

  • Every traveller, adult or child, needs their own pass and QR code.
  • The attraction mix suits families well, with the cable car, hop-on hop-off bus, Poble Espanyol and Big Fun Museum all included.
Accessibility & Facilities
  • The pass is entirely digital and requires a smartphone with the Go City app installed.
  • Accessibility varies by attraction — some included sites are heritage buildings with steps, narrow routes or uneven ground.
  • Check each attraction's own accessibility provision in the digital guide or directly with the venue before committing a pass choice.
  • Attraction hours, entry instructions and reservation requirements are all listed in-app.
Restrictions
  • The pass activates automatically at your first attraction, and the 30-day window starts from that moment.

  • Some attractions require advance registration and are subject to availability — booking details are in the digital guide.
  • Included attractions are subject to change without notice.
  • It is the traveller's responsibility to check each attraction's admission policies, hours and entry instructions before arriving.

Go City Barcelona Explorer Pass Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Go City Barcelona Explorer Pass work?
You choose how many attractions you want — anywhere from 2 to 7 — then pick which ones from a list of over 40. Everything lives on one digital pass in the Go City app. Show your QR code at each attraction and it's scanned for entry. No queuing at ticket desks and no separate bookings to juggle.
How long is the pass valid?
Unusually long. The pass stays valid for a full year from the date of purchase before you activate it. It only activates when you visit your first attraction, and from that point you have 30 days to use your remaining choices. There's no need to use it on consecutive days.
How much can I actually save?
Up to 50% compared with buying the same attraction tickets individually. The saving scales with what you choose — since every attraction costs the same slot on your pass regardless of its gate price, picking the more expensive experiences maximises the value.
Which attractions are included?
Over 40 in total, including the Sagrada Família guided tour, Casa Batlló, Park Güell with hosted entry, the FC Barcelona Immersive Tour, Poble Espanyol, the Barcelona Cable Car, a hop-on hop-off bus tour, the Banksy Museum, a flamenco show at Palau Dalmases and Torre Bellesguard. The full current list is in the Go City app, and the line-up can change.
Do I need to book attractions in advance?
Some, yes. Several included experiences — particularly the Sagrada Família and Park Güell — require advance reservation and are subject to availability. Instructions for booking each one are in the digital guide. Book these as soon as you can, since they sell out days ahead in peak season.
Do I need a physical pass?
No. Everything is digital. After purchase you'll receive a pass with a unique QR code, which you sync to the Go City app on your phone. Show it on your screen at each attraction and a member of staff scans it. Download the app and sync before you travel.
Do children need their own pass?
Yes. Child passes are available for ages 3 to 12, and each traveller needs their own pass and QR code. Children under 3 aren't covered — check with each individual attraction on whether infants are admitted free or need to pay.
What's the difference between the Explorer Pass and the All-Inclusive Pass?
The Explorer Pass is based on how many attractions you visit, spread over 30 days. The All-Inclusive Pass gives unlimited attractions over a set number of consecutive days. Explorer suits travellers with a handful of specific must-sees and a relaxed pace; All-Inclusive suits packed, high-volume sightseeing.
Is transport included?
No. Metro, bus, taxi and parking costs are all excluded, as are food, drinks and gratuities. The one exception is the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus and the Barcelona Cable Car, both of which are included as attraction choices in their own right rather than as general transport.
