Dolphins Bay Phuket<\/strong> sits in the Chalong area<\/strong>, about 20 minutes from Patong<\/strong>, and it is one of those places that genuinely surprises you. It is the only dolphin show in Phuket<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You go in thinking it will be a nice little show, and come out wondering why you don’t live there permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes it special is that there’s more to do than just watch. You can touch the dolphins, swim with them, try your hand at being a trainer for the day, and take home photos<\/strong> that will make everyone back home very, very jealous. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It works beautifully for families with kids, couples looking for something different, and groups of friends <\/strong>who want a proper shared experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are now three shows every day<\/strong> at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM<\/strong>. The shows run every day except Monday<\/strong>, and each one lasts around 45 minutes<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ticket office opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM<\/strong>, so you have plenty of time to collect your tickets before any of the three shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one thing you absolutely must know before you plan your visit is that Dolphins Bay is closed on Mondays<\/strong>. It catches more people off guard than you’d think. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every other day of the week, you’re good to go. But don\u2019t forget to double-check your travel dates<\/strong> before you book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gates open around 15 to 20 minutes before each show<\/strong>, and the venue has become stricter about late arrivals in 2026, particularly for the 11:00 AM show, where entry is sometimes stopped right at the start time during the seal intro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be safe, aim to arrive at least 45 minutes early<\/strong>. Phuket traffic can be unpredictable, so build that buffer in from the start and you won’t have to stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show opens with a moment that sets the tone for everything that follows: the dolphins launch themselves<\/strong> clean out of the water, soar through the air,<\/strong> and come crashing back down in a wave<\/strong> that drenches the front row. Everyone screams. Everyone laughs. And just like that, you’re hooked!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The five resident dolphins \u2013 Alice, Maya, Ami, Casper, and Grand<\/strong>, were born in captivity in Ukraine and have grown up working closely with their trainers. That relationship shows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They move with each other in a way that feels almost choreographed, spinning through hula hoops, balancing balls, jumping over bars<\/strong>, and at one point actually carrying their trainers<\/strong> on their snouts and launching them into the air. It’s the kind of thing you have to see to believe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then there are the seals: Masha and Ponchik<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re sitting in the first two rows<\/strong>, there’s a good chance one of them will waddle over and try to hug you or give you a kiss on the cheek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s unexpected, it’s hilarious, and it’s one of those small moments that ends up being everyone’s favourite story from the trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole show runs for about 45 minutes<\/strong>, and it genuinely moves fast. You definitely won’t be looking at your phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show alone is worth the trip, but if you want to take things further, there are four extra experiences you can add on when you book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first is a photo with the dolphins<\/strong>. You get to capture a proper posed shot right next to one of the dolphins, covering up to four people, which makes it great value for groups or families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second is Magic Touch<\/strong>, where you get to go up close and actually touch the dolphins. It’s calm and gentle, and it’s one of those rare moments that tends to stay with people long after the holiday is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For kids especially, the Young Trainer program <\/strong>is a dream. You step into the trainer’s shoes, learn how it all works behind the scenes, try some of the show activities yourself, and get to feed the dolphins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It fills up quickly in 2026 and tour groups tend to block-book it. So don’t count on upgrading on the day. Book it in advance<\/strong> when you sort your tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then there’s Happy Time<\/strong>, the swimming with dolphins experience. You get into the pool, which is a comfortable 26\u00b0C and 5 metres deep, and you swim alongside the dolphins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the most in-demand experiences <\/strong>at the venue. Slots are extremely limited, so book at least 48 hours<\/strong> ahead if this is on your list. For anyone aged 4 and up <\/strong>who’s comfortable in the water, this is genuinely bucket-list territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
