About Flyover Chicago at Navy Pier Entry Ticket

Flyover opened at Navy Pier in 2024 and has quickly become one of the most talked-about attractions in the city. Created by Pursuit, it is a flight simulation rather than a film, built around a 65-foot spherical screen and suspended motion seats that tilt, drop and sway in time with the footage.

The experience unfolds in stages. You begin in a pre-show gallery, then move into a storytelling chamber where Chicagoans share what the city means to them, setting up the people, architecture and culture you are about to fly over. Then the doors open and you are strapped into your seat, lifted off the ground and launched into the signature ride, Believe Chicago.

Nine minutes of flight follow. The aerial footage sweeps over Lake Michigan and under exploding fireworks, climbs past the city’s great towers, runs along Michigan Avenue and drops low through Lincoln Park. Wind, mist and scent effects fire in sync, and the seats move enough that most riders describe it as closer to a roller coaster than a gentle tour.

The whole visit takes around 30 minutes from arrival to exit, with departures roughly every 15 to 20 minutes through the day. Because it is entirely indoors, it is a reliable option when Chicago’s weather turns, and Navy Pier’s restaurants, shops and the Centennial Wheel are all a short walk away.

Book through Thrillark and secure your flight time at the best available rate, since slots fill quickly at weekends and in peak season.
