About Tokyo Trick Art Museum Ticket
Three themed areas cover the full range of trick art experiences. The Edo Area is the world's first art gallery dedicated entirely to the aesthetic and cultural world of Edo-period Japan — placing visitors inside scenes of sword-wielding samurai battles, elegant geisha processions, dramatic kabuki performances, and classic Japanese landscapes. The Haunted Mansion with Funny Japanese Monsters is the most playfully frightening section — traditional Japanese ghost stories, yokai spirits, and supernatural legends rendered in detailed trick art that delights as much as it unnerves. The Trick Art Gallery brings together the best examples of classic optical illusion technique in one focused collection — Ames rooms where you can become a giant or a dwarf, hidden animal quizzes, and perspective paintings that change completely as you move from left to right. Most visitors spend between one and two hours at the museum, and the compact format makes it easy to revisit favourite exhibits multiple times for different angles and poses.
