About The Lion King Tickets
The Musical opens with the coveted scene where Rafiki presents the newborn Simba to the animals of the Pride Lands standing over the Pride Rock. The Lion King is a story about a cub, Simba, becoming the King of the Jungle. Mufasa teaches young Simba about the Circle of Life and his future role as king. But after a betrayal by his uncle, Lost Simba is rescued by Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him their worry-free philosophy of life! But his destiny catches up to him and Simba defeats Scar and takes his rightful place as king, completing the cycle (Cue the Circle of Life featuring Elton John!)
Directed by Julie Taymor, the production combines stunning visuals and African-inspired rhythms that tell a coming of age story about identity, loss, and destiny which are relatable themes that resonate across generations.
